Hancock Health Layoffs: What You Need to Know About Revenue Cycle Changes
GREENFIELD, Ind. -- Starting in early November, 50 workers are expected to be laid off from the Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, according to a recent Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification submitted to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
According to the WARN notice, Hancock Regional Hospital will lay off 50 workers on Nov. 3. Officials with Hancock Health stated that various workers' titles will be affected.
In a statement from Steve Long, the chief executive officer of Hancock Health, he mentioned that about a year ago, the system partnered with a company called Revology to enhance the hospital's revenue cycle team.
According to its website, Revology is a tech-enabled revenue cycle management firm. Over the past year, Long said that a purely local approach would not suffice to meet future patient volumes.
