WACO, Texas (FOX 44) - Cameron Park Zoo visitors can take advantage of valuable resources for suicide awareness and prevention on Tuesday. The Zoo's IDEA Committee is organizing a Suicide Awareness and Prevention Resource Fair from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 1701 N 4th Street.
Resources Available for Mental Health Support
- Learn about local and national organizations focused on mental health.
- Discover the resources they offer for individuals in distress.
The IDEA Committee aims to encourage the community to support the essential work these organizations do and to educate everyone about the resources available for those who might need them.
Enhance Your Experience with Meditation
Guests can participate in Aquarium Quiet Time from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. for meditation and reflection, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
This event is included with Zoo admission, and membership check-in is required. For those interested in supporting the efforts for suicide awareness, tickets for the Suicide Awareness & Prevention Resource Fair can be purchased at the entrance.
