Good News for Oklahoma: SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital's New Love Family Entrance
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital leaders announced the groundbreaking ceremony of a 22-month construction project for a new west entrance to be named the Love Family Entrance.
According to the hospital, the entrance will improve accessibility to the hospital's services for patients, guests, physicians, and employees while also starting the next phase of the SaintsForward capital campaign.
This campaign aims to expand the hospital's mission in the thriving Midtown area. To jumpstart the philanthropy effort, hospital officials state that the Love family donated $5 million to fund the SaintsForward campaign to make the Love Family Entrance a reality.
Additionally, the Love family, particularly F.C. and Margaret Love, are notable volunteers and benefactors of SSM Health St. Anthony. Tammy Powell, the President of SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital and Bone & Joint Hospital, acknowledged the significance of the new entrance, stating, “Great attention has been given to every detail associated with the Love Family Entrance project, including features of comfort and safety.”
South of the new entrance will be an outdoor courtyard and spacious lawn for family and staff to enjoy. Powell emphasized being good stewards of the funds donated, aiming for a lasting impact on patients and the community.
St. Anthony Hospital still seeks the community’s help to raise the remaining $1.5 million, providing everyone a transformative opportunity to give after a generous $2 million challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation.
