AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Women’s health initiatives are advancing as Amarillo Public Health outlines plans for a new women's health clinic.

According to Amarillo Public Health Director Casie Stoughton, the clinic is set to begin seeing patients by early to mid 2025. This pivotal move reflects a growing commitment to enhancing women’s health services in Amarillo.

During a council meeting last week, members approved the first reading of an ordinance amending the public health department's budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year. This budget adjustment is crucial for the successful establishment and operation of the clinic.
