On Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m., the library's Watts-Midtown Branch will host Quad City Visiting Artist Robin Spielberg. This 50-minute program will highlight the relationship between music and mental health through scientific insights and practical strategies for utilizing music to alleviate stress and anxiety.
Support for Mental Health Conditions
On Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 6 p.m., attend the NAMI Family & Friends Seminar, which provides a non-judgmental environment for discussing mental health. This 90-minute seminar led by certified NAMI educators focuses on communication, self-care, and crisis strategies.
Exploring Life and Death Conversations
Join the Death Café group on Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m., where open discussions around life and death will take place, facilitating honest dialogue among participants.
Memory Health Insights
Conclude the month with a session on memory loss on Saturday, Nov. 30, featuring Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum discussing cognitive health and various strategies to maintain mental acuity.
