Luxury and Culture Intersect at the Beijing Exhibition

L’Oréal Group has brought the Notre Dame cathedral’s 3D digital twin to Beijing in partnership with the National Museum of China. This immersive experience, titled Notre Dame de Paris, The Augmented Exhibition, allows visitors to explore the cathedral's 850-year history, including its restoration after the 2019 fire. Guests can witness 3D simulations of iconic moments like Napoleon’s coronation using touch-screen tablets.

A Commitment to Heritage and Beauty

Through significant donations and partnerships, including a generous contribution of 200 million euros by the Bettencourt family to restore Notre Dame, this exhibition aims to celebrate the cultural icon while strengthening Sino-French relations.

  • Running from 12 September to 20 October, 2023, this exhibition is a part of a global tour.
  • Previous exhibitions have taken place in Shanghai and South Korea, with future stops planned in Japan and Hong Kong.

L’Oréal’s initiative not only showcases cultural heritage but also emphasizes its dedication to promoting societal values that transcend beauty.

Innovation Meets Responsibility

In addition to endorsing culture, L’Oréal focuses on local innovation. With nearly 400 scientists at its Shanghai Innovation Center, the company tailors product development to meet the unique preferences of Chinese consumers.
