DAKAR, Senegal reports that these vaccine doses, produced by Bavarian Nordic, will be made available within this year. • Since the start of the year, over 25,000 confirmed mpox cases have been recorded, with 723 fatalities.
• The disease's epicenter is in Congo, which has only received a fraction of the needed vaccine doses.
