ULLIN, Ill. (WSIL)-- The 14th Annual "Our Stories, Our Lives" African American Women’s Conference occurred over the weekend. Women from throughout our area gathered at Shawnee College to learn more about important health issues.

This year, the focus was clearly on medical challenges that disproportionately impact Black women. From discussions on chronic diseases to mental health, the conference served as a platform for sharing experiences and establishing community connections.
