Last December, Ubisoft removed The Crew from digital stores and subsequently shut down its servers, making the game unplayable even for those who owned physical copies. In September 2023, during a noteworthy showcase, Ubisoft showcased updates for The Crew Motorfest and addressed player concerns. Stéphane Beley, the senior creative director, stated, ”Today, we want to express our commitment to the future of The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest.” He confirmed that the studio is currently exploring options to implement an offline mode for both titles, ensuring that players can access them even when servers are no longer operational.

While Ubisoft has not provided a specific timeline for the new offline modes, they assured players that updates would follow in the coming months.
