Spider-Man 2 Disappoints Fans with No DLC Plans

In a recent announcement, game developer Insomniac confirmed that there will be no story DLC for 2023's Spider-Man 2, a decision that might leave fans longing for more content. Marvel's Spider-Man, which initially delighted gamers with its expansion 'The City That Never Sleeps', set a high bar for future releases. On October 18, Insomniac and Sony revealed that Spider-Man 2 will be coming to PC in January 2024, just 15 months after its PS5 launch. This transition marks one of the quickest migrations for a PlayStation exclusive to Steam.

Insomniac's Commitment to Current Content

While many were anticipating additional narrative content, Insomniac's senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza confirmed that the studio won’t be creating any further story DLC for either the PC or PS5 versions. He stated, “Although we have no additional story content planned for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, we are thrilled to offer our previously released post-launch content on PC, including New Game+, new suits, and more.
