Galarian Expedition Event Overview

Pokémon Go is hosting a Galarian Expedition event from Oct. 4-11, bringing some new shiny Legendary Pokémon into the game via Daily Adventure Incense, alongside other event bonuses.

Shiny Galarian birds Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres can be found for the first time while using Daily Adventure Incense. Zamazenta (Hero of Many Battles) is also returning to raids during this event and it’s able to be found shiny for the first time.

There’s also a new paid Master Ball ticket available for purchase.

Rewards: 5,000 XP, Alolan Marowak encounter, 20 Ultra Balls

Spinning a PokéStop during the event may yield the following tasks:

• Explore 1 km: Encounter Nidoran-M, Nidoran-F, Abra, or Spheal
• Explore 5 km: Encounter Chansey or Absol
• Spin 5 PokéStops or gyms: Receive 20 Poké Balls, 10 Great Balls, or 5 Ultra Balls
• Spin 10 PokéStops or gyms: Encounter Shinx or Foongus, or earn 2,000 XP, or 1,000 Stardust
