Discover the New Baldur’s Gate 3 Pokeball Mod for Capturing Creatures
Baldur’s Gate 3 Pokeball Mod
Larian has created one of the best RPGs in history with Baldur’s Gate 3, but it’s far from the most famous. Over the genre’s storied history, Game Freak’s Pokemon has become, by far, the most recognizable RPG on the planet, and one BG3 mod has brought it into the world of Dungeons and Dragons.
PokeFlask Mod Details
While some modders are busy creating entire new maps with the game’s cracked mod tools, one modder has been busy bringing the power of Pokeballs to the Sword Coast. The new “PokeFlask” mod, available on Nexus Mods, allows you to capture creatures across the game world and use them as your own.
- The PokeFlask adds 40 flasks in the tutorial chest on the Nautiloid.
- You can use the flasks on any entity, but be cautious, as some may break the game.
- When a creature is captured, it is killed, changing the flask's name to the creature’s name.
Gameplay Mechanics
Although capturing creatures sounds thrilling, be aware that creatures captured in one region cannot be transferred to another, similar to other Baldur’s Gate 3 entities. Think of each region as its own Pokedex.
Encounter Bugs While Capturing
The new Baldur’s Gate 3 Pokeball mod is extremely buggy. Mod creator JimmSlimm warns that the mod should be used on a new playthrough to avoid disrupting your current game. Use common sense, or you may break the playthrough.
Hopefully, this mod can be expanded in the future with Pokemon battle music, gyms, and a full Pokedex. Now, that would be a hilarious mod to play through.
