Helldivers 2 Sees Unannounced Buffs Fuel Player Resurgence
Massive Buffs to Weapons in Helldivers 2
Helldivers 2 is back with a bang following Arrowhead’s major update earlier this week. Many players had abandoned the fight for democracy, but now swarms of them have come back following the developer’s influx of ginormous weapon buffs. A lot of weapons have been significantly improved, and Helldivers 2 players have found even more massive buffs not mentioned in the patch notes.

You can check out the update 01.001.100 patch notes to see all of the buffs officially implemented by Arrowhead. Since this update, Steam reviews have improved from mixed to mostly positive, and the creative director has teased even more exciting buffs for the next patch. In addition, the player count has more than doubled, and the Arrowhead CCO has given the perfect response to competition with Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2.
Undocumented Buffs for Anti-Tank Mines
On the Helldivers subreddit, OP VividNightmare_ has shared “Anti-tank mines were buffed. They forgot to include it.” The OP reports that Anti-Tank Mines have received the following buffs as well as one nerf:
- Explosion damage decreased from 1,000 to 800
- Demolition force increased from 30 to 40
- Stagger force increased from 30 to 50
- Inner radius increased from 1.2m to 5m
- Outer radius increased from 6m to 10m
- Shockwave radius increased from 9m to 14m
Although not acknowledged by the developer, fans have noticed changes to Anti-Tank Mines even though they are not mentioned in the 01.001.100 patch notes. Assuming the above reported changes are accurate, they are huge and greatly appreciated by the community. Reacting to the listed changes, there is acknowledgment that the explosion damage has slightly decreased, but the buff is still exceptional thanks to the 1,638% increase in area for the inner radius. This increase means Anti-Tank Mines deal maximum damage in a much larger area.
In addition to the buffs for Anti-Tank Mines, another undocumented change claimed by the community is “the ability to have multiple of the same sentry active.” One user claims they had 3 Tesla towers active on a defense mission for the first time ever.
