Tata Group is gearing up for a major hiring spree, planning to recruit 4,000 female technicians sourced from Uttarakhand. This recruitment effort focuses on supporting their manufacturing and assembly plants located in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Letter to Uttarakhand Planning Department

On August 26, the Tata Group communicated with the planning department of Uttarakhand via a formal letter. This letter detailed the commencement of the recruitment process under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and the Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).

Eligibility and Selection Process

  • Candidates must have completed class 10, 12, or hold ITI diplomas for eligibility.
  • Successful candidates will be appointed as shop floor technicians.
  • They will be required to pass specific assessments before obtaining appointments.

The Tata Group's Chief Human Resource Officer, Ranjan Bandopadhyay, emphasized the importance of connecting youth with career opportunities through this initiative.

Employment Benefits

Selected candidates will receive comprehensive support including food, accommodation, transportation, and competitive salaries, alongside benefits as per the company's policy. Employment will follow guidelines under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961.
