FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Perdue Foods has issued a recall for over 160,000 pounds of frozen chicken nuggets and tenders due to possible metal contamination, as announced by the USDA. These products, produced on March 23, 2024, carry establishment number P-33944 on their packaging.

Details of the Recall

The recalled chicken nuggets were shipped to retail locations nationwide and were also available for online purchase. The contamination issue arose after complaints were made to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) regarding metal wire found embedded in the products. Fortunately, no confirmed cases of injury or illness have been reported.
