Giant Panda Ying Ying, who made headlines for becoming the world’s oldest first-time mother, is making a commendable recovery after the delivery of her twins. Following the birth of her cubs on August 15, Ying Ying has regained about 70% to 80% of her strength in just two months.
Cubs' Growth Milestones
According to Howard Chuk Hau-chung, head of zoological operations at Ocean Park, Ying Ying's twins have significantly advanced in their development. The elder female cub now weighs 2.7 kg, while the younger male weighs around 2.54 kg. Remarkably, they weighed only 100 grams at birth.
