Goa News Today: Pramod Sawant's New Clause for Employment Scheme Affects CFF

Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant announced a new clause approved by the cabinet that will be added in the employment scheme for children of freedom fighters (CFF) on Monday. It will benefit the ones whose siblings have not yet been provided with government jobs. “The new clause aims to ensure that those children of freedom fighters who have not yet benefited from the scheme receive priority in securing govt jobs,” Sawant said.

In the present list, siblings of the 40 CFF pending are already sponsored by the home department. Hence, it is proposed to add one clause as 6(c) after clause 6(d) in the scheme. Currently, there are 40 registered CFF awaiting employment, with 17 registered in 2013 and 23 registered in 2021.
